10-Time World Champions

Lifetime Record

Game 1 saw Don Wanner open the season with 4 2/3 no hit innings. Don struck out the side twice on the way to 7 strikeouts and finished with 5 innings and 1 hit, but left in a tie game. Paul Ferrari threw the last 4 innings to get the victory striking out 4 and giving up 2 hits. The Underwood “Ginger” Twins activated as Scott had 3 hits and Eric had 2. Brandon Koszuth somehow avoided getting hit by the pitch this weekend and drove in the winning run with a 2 RBI single in the 7th LJ Thomas has a couple hits and scored 2 of the 4 Astro runs. The highlight of the weekend was long time Astro World Champion and Former Philadelphia Philly and Oakland Athletic Pup Nelson coming out and getting to play with his son, recent SCC graduate Zach Nelson. The Nelsons stole the show going a combined 0-7 with 5 strike outs but the old man one upped his son by drawing a crucial 2 out walk in the 7th inning!

Game 2 was a more typical Astro offensive display scoring 16 runs for starter TJ Czyz who gave up 1 hit and struck out 8 in 4 innings. Ginger Scott led the way again going 4-5 with 3 doubles and 4 RBI’s. LJ Thomas scored 3 runs with 2 hits including a Home Run and Joey Dice stayed red hot going 0-8 on the day with 3 walks. Koszuth added a couple more hits in game 2 and the dugout gave Michael Green a standing ovation for actually driving a ball to right center for a double. Spencer Edmundson made his Astro debut in relief going 3 innings, 5 K’s to go with 4 walks. An un-named Rookie hick from Montana that swears he is 19 but his hairline says he is Korean War veteran made his debut with a homer to go along with his 2 strikeouts and dribbler back to the mound… you will be the best hitter on the Seals!
